ATOMIC ENERGY CENTRAL SCHOOL,                                        

Distinguished dignitaries, parents, teachers and dear students! A very pleasant evening and a warm welcome to one and all on 45th Annual Day Celebration of AECS-2 Jadugoda! It gives me an immense pleasure to present the Annual Report which demonstrates our growth and achievements during the session 2017-18. It offers me an opportunity to commemorate our success in pursuing excellence in education and to witness the remarkable achievements of our children in various other fields.

 I would like to begin it with the School Profile
1. School Profile:
The school runs from classes I to XII with one section each. Today we have 403 students on roll. There are 09 TGTs including Contractual Teachers, 06 PRTs, 1 Librarian, 1 Assistant Librarian, 02 Office staff and 09 MTS. The K.G classes are also being run under care of A.E.C.S-2 Jadugoda with two sections.

2. Change in the Staff:  

In the beginning of the session there have been certain changes in the school staff. I am very glad to convey that our honourable Principal, Shri S.K.Sarangi took up his charge in A.E.C.S-2 Jadugoda on 16th June on promotion with transfer from A.E.C.S-2, Tarapur. Similarly, Shri. D.P.Raut, TGT (M/P), Shri S.K.Kharwal, PGT (Hindi), joined on promotion. Shri.Mahatim Ram TGT (Eng/Social), Sri.T.R.Ramchandran, TGT (S.St) and Shri. Syed Ali came on transfer.Shri Narayan Adhikari (PRT) and Miss. Varsha Rani Maruti Bhise (PRT) newly joined in our Primary Section.
In the resent past, we also witnessed some transfers from A.E.C.S-2 Jadugoda. Mrs. Shara Kumari, PRT (SS) and Mr. Prakash Jambhulkar, TGT (S.St) got transferred from our school.

SEEP/RTE: The students from economically and socially disadvantaged families from the neighbourhood are given admission in the schools administered by Atomic Energy Education Society. We have 27 students studying under RTE Scheme.

 3. Academic Excellence:
We feel highly honoured to announce the appreciable Academics achievements of our school during the session 2017-18. We had qualitative 93.5 % result in class X and 88.8% in class XII in March 2017 Board Examination.

Similarly we have got 100% result in
Primary as well as secondary sections. This year 46 students of Primary Section scored A* grade in all the subjects. In fact we have achieved 28% more growth in result than the previous year which was the highest growth record in comparison to all the AEC Schools inIndia.We extend our hearty congratulations to all the Rank Holders and Toppers.

EXTRA CLASSES: The school conducts the Extra classes/Remedial classes for the slow learners to enhance their performance. Similarly, the Special NTSE Classes wrere conducted for Class X students.

VIGYAN PRATIBHA PROGRAMME: We have begun the Vigyan Pratibha classes for 8th standard students. It is a project of DAE to nurture scientific temprament among the children.
The school is now illuminated with the sufficient halogen lights. The Display boards and Bulletin boards are placed at different locations in the interior as well as exterior of the school. Under school horticulture different saplings of fruits, flowers and crotons are planted by Principal, teachers and different well known dignitaries which enhance the beauty of the school campus.

CHILDREN SAFETY INITIATIVES: We have also adopted adequate the Safety measures for the children as per the CBSE guidelines.


1. AECS-2, Jaduguda has won in Zonal level CBSE Cluster III (Bihar & Jharkhand) Volleyball tournament for Girls (Under 17) and bagged champions trophy. The team further played up to Quarter Final at National level volleyball tournament held in New Delhi.

2. Our school bagged 1st position in senior Hindi Debate and 3rd position in Hindi Quiz held at OSCOM.The winners were felicitated with the trophies.
1. We celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2017. The school invited two Yoga experts on this occasion.
2. The glorious 70th Independence Day, 15th August, was celebrated in school with pomp and pageant.
3. On 7th July, 2017, our school organized the Investiture ceremony. Students’ Portfolio was constituted and bestowed with the insignia by the Chief Guest Mr. S.K.Srivastav Special Officer, UCIL Jaduguda mines.

4. Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 5th September 2017. Shri Satyapal Sharma, retired Principal, DAV, NIT Adityapur graced the occasion as the chief guest and Shri Debashish Ghosh, Director (Finance) UCIL Jadugoda was the guest of honour. A seminar was organisedfor teachers.

5. Childrens’ Day, was celebrated in school on 14th November, 2017 with a great joy.
6._24th Nov  was observed as Quami Ekta Diwas or National Integration Day.  National Integration Pledge was taken on this occasion.
7. National Education Day was observed on11th November to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India.
8. 26th November, the Constitution Day was observed on 27thNovember highlighting the Preamble, Constitutional Rights and Duties of citizens.
The school organised different competitions on all these occasions.
1. Hindi Week was observed from 14th September to 20th September 2017 and the closing ceremony was organized on 23rd August 2017.Dr. A.K.Sarangi  - ED(Project North) UCIL, Jaduguda, was the chief guest of the day.
2. Communal Harmony Week was celebrated from 19th to 25th November 2017. Sadbhavana Diwas pledge was administered to the staff and students on 20th November 2017. All the students, teachers and other staff donated generously towards communal harmony on the Flag Day i.e. 24th November 2017.
3. Our school observed Vigilance Awareness week from 30.10.2017 to 04.11.2017 in order to eradicate corruption and promote vigilance.
4. The school observed the Library week from 14th to 20th November 2017. The school also organized the Book Exhibition to showcase the references available in the School Library.Shri G.K.Kothandan, Vice principal, AECS, Kalpakkam visited the exhibition.
COMPETITIONS: We had some interhouse competitions.
1. All India Inter AEES Art Competition for classes I to XII was conducted in school on 18th November 2017.
2. Inter-house CCA Dance competition was held in the month of October. Red House got the first place in it while yellow house stood the second place.
3. Fancy Dress competition for classes I and II and Rangoli competition for classes III to V was held on 25.08.2017.
Science/Social Science and Maths Exhibition was conducted on 5th July Smt.Jayashree Asnani, First Lady of UCIL had inaugurated the function as the Chief Guest. Three projects from different categories were sent for the All India Inter AEES Exhibition held at A.E.C.S-2, Rawatbhata on 10th August 2017.
On 21st September 2017, AECS-2, Jaduguda organised a water conservation programme. The chief guest, Dr. Vivekanand Jha, Scientific Officer ‘E’ O/C, Health Physics Unit, UCIL Jaduguda delivered a lecture on “Save water”.
JSO/JMO: Master Akilan Seshan of standard X attended JSO/JMO Programme held at AEJC Mumbai from 9.10.2017 to 14.10.2017 at AEJC Mumbai.
EXCURSION: The students of class XII (Arts) visitied KIIT International School and KISS, the first tribal university of the world located at Bhubaneshwar. They also visited the places of culture and Heritage like Khandgiri, Udaygiri, Dhaulgiri, Dhauli, an international Buddhist shrine and seen ancient manuscripts, coins, and rock edicts.
EXPLORATORY VISIT: The students of class XII (Arts) also had an exploratory visit to Regional Science Park, Nandan Kanan Zoo and Planetorium.
As a part of our Industrial visit programme, Our class 10 and 11 students visited Industrial Training Centre at Turamdih.
The students of classes I and II were taken on an educational trip to the Post Office, Jadugoda on 9th November, 2017.
The students of Std. IX of AECS -2, Jaduguda visited Jamshedpur book fair on 10th Nov. They bought the books of their choice.
Students of Class XII conducted a field survey on 29.11.2017 in Bango Village. The students gathered information regarding the socio-economic condition of the people, saw the rural settlement, natural landscape, landuse.
The students of class X and XI visited 150 underprivileged children of the Girls high school for primitive tribes at Sundernagar, JSR.
Students have been shown short films on Adolescence problems Adolescent problems are common to every country.
JOY OF GIVING: The children of class IX were taken to Cheshire's home, the home for differently able children at Patel Bagan, Jamshedpur and distributed food items among them on 10th November.


As a part of campus beautification programme,We had arranged plantation of variety of fruits and perennial plants.Eminent dignitaries visiting the school on different occasions shared their hands.A large variety of winter seasonals have been planted to beautify the campus.
On 22nd September 2017, AECS-2, Jaduguda observed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative towards Clean India. A debate competition and a drawing competition were organized on this occasion.
1. Smt. Mita Saha and Mr. D.P.Raut attended the workshop on VIgyan Pratibha Programme at SINP Kolkata
2. Shri S.Sadhukhan attended the training programme in KV -3 Bhubaneswar
3. Mr. Bhim Chandra Murmu attended the training programme on Tally software at Mumbai
4. Shri S.K.Sarangi, Principal attended Principal Conference at Narora and he will join a training programme on procurement procedures in National Institute of Finanacial Management Faridabad.
A parent teachers meeting was held on 17.10.2017 for the students of class I to XII from 12 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. where results of students were discussed wit parents and report cards were also handed over to the respective parents.
An effective parents counseling session was organized for the parents whose children are studying in class X and XII on 18.11.2017 and 20.11.2017 with the head of the school. Principal Shri S.K.Sarangi also gave some important tips and guidance to secure good marks in the board examination.

In the long spell of 45 years, we have raised the bar of excellence. Every batch of students is surpassing and doing better than the previous one.
On this momentous occasion, we express our deep gratitude to the Chairman, AEES, Sri Rajnish Prakash and the Secretary, Shri.S.K.Malhotra, for their noble guidance and support.
 We are extremely delighted to acknowledge special regards to Shri.C.K.Asnani, the Chairman, LMC & Managing Director UCIL Jadugoda, for his efficient leadership and direction.
We must express our sincere thanks to the Guest of honour  Dr.Dinesh Kumar, Coordinating Principal, Jadugoda Centre, Dr. A.K.Saragi, ED (Projects North), UCIL Jadugoda for their keen interest and initiation in School Activities.
 We also, take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff, for working in synergy and Cooperation. Thanks to all the parents for their support and cooperation.
We would like to say that we are determined to nurture the Nation’s human potential to its fullest by providing inclusive education to the children from wide spectrum of society. Our staff, students and alumini are a resource and strength for the whole school family. Our vision is to contribute to a better world by educating the students to put knowledge to serve the humanity with true devotion. Admission of RTE students in Std. I: For the first time this school has admitted the students under ‘RTE Category’ as per AEES norms.This year we have admitted 18 students in class I in this category. We have distributed free Textbooks, Notebooks and other stationaries to the students.  


As per the CBSE circular we conducted a survey in and around Jaduguda for child labour. As many as 25 students participated in this survey with great enthusiasm. The survey included visiting various shops and firms and interviewing the children under 14 years who were working in these places. Our school students could realize that they belong to one of the privileged to get a good education in this country after this survey.


The school celebrated the Independence Day with great enthusiasm on 15th of August 2017. The Principal hoisted the tricolor and addressed the students. On this occasion patriotic song and speeches by the students were presented and sweets (biscuits) were distributed among the students.






On 22nd September 2017, AECS-2, Jaduguda observed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan the program was started at 7.30 a.m. after morning assembly. Then all students along with teachers took oath on cleanliness. And our respected principal Shri S.K.Sarangi advised all to link themselves with Swachh Bharat.
On this occasion media persons from Hindustan newspaper shri Arun Singh and Shri Sanjay Shauriya were present.Principal along with teachers and students took steps towards cleanliness around our school and home.
Two students from our school expressed their views on cleanliness awareness. A debate competition and drawing competition was also organized on this occasion

Primary – IV Std.
Secondary- VI Std. C.C.A. Day & Sports Day: our school celebrated the C.C.A. Day & Sports Day for the Primary section and secondary section on 16.11.2015respectively in which 271prizes were distributed among the students.
Primary – 155 Prizes out of 181 students
Secondary & Sr. Secondary – 124 Prizes out of 211 students
Our school has taken various steps to improve the result of the
school for the session 2017-18

For Classes – IX, X & XII

Refresher classes for slow learners are being taken by the teachers. Four days in a week from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. in science, Mathematics & Social Science since August, 2015 for class X and in History, Geography & Economics for class XII. Weekly Tests are conducted for these classes to have enough practice and to be consistent in studies. The school also conducted a Pre SAI examination for classes IX, X and XII and the performance of the wards in these exams were shown to their parents before SA I/ Half Yearly exam.


1st Parent- Teacher’s Meeting were conducted on 26th August, 2016 for all classes and 2nd Parent- Teachers’ Meeting for classes IX, X and XII were conducted on 8th September, 2016 at 6.00 P.M. to discuss the result of Pre- SA I.
